Silas Wolf Hertog (b. 2000) uses images combined with words to connect with the world around him. He mainly works with photography and poetry, but also goes beyond these media. His work is a direct reflection of his being and works as a way to communicate with the outside world.

Writing is like finding words for feelings for which there are no words to find, and with my visuals I translate those words back into feelings.
In my work I aim to translate personal subjects, such as autism and trauma, to the outside world. I use my work as a way to express myself and to communicate because I often fail to do this in any other way.
I hope to educate people on these topics. But most important, I hope that people who see my work can identify with it in their own way.

My work arises out of the necessity of making. It evolves with me and I evolve with and through my work.
